Get WordAge on play.

Combining some fresh elements along with some familiar ones, Wordage provides with a fresh take on the word game. The genre needed this fresh breeze of innovation. The clean styling is very alluring. It’s really a classic. In Wordage, you are stimulated to push the limits and utilize your brain to its fullest (who says we can only use 20% of our brains huh?) To date no games are available that pack such a powerful punch and graphical panache. Commonly people like Words with Friends, but I never really got into it, ended up deleting it over and over again.

Now Wordage is loaded with features and comes with two game modes. One is the Brain Buster mode, the other is the time quest.

Time Quest

As the name suggests, this mode has you fighting the clock to score more. You have to achieve the highest possible score.

How you play is that you get a word mentioned below the jumbled words on the board (as shown in the figure). It is fair to warn you, usually these words are tougher than your average vocabulary. So it could be a little difficult than the rest.

So you have to tap on the starting alphabet and from there you can drag up, down, left, right and diagonally in any direction to make the words listed below. Just make sure that you keep looking up the words as fast as you can. I am a little ashamed to say that most of the time, I find myself stay stuck on the first word for the duration of the whole round (and I consider my vocabulary to be great).

Brain Buster

This mode is like time quest, only much harder. It’s enticing, mind boggling and what not. This mode has a timer which ends pretty fast, if you don’t find the word mentioned below the word board. As discussed this game has a great deal of tough words, the brain buster mode adds to the difficulty by removing a letter from the word. And rest assured, these are not your everyday vocabulary words that you can just guess. So make sure that you brush up your vocabulary and take it to the next level.

Helping features

Skip

In either mode you have some additional options to help you out. You see that cross above the button in the lower right corner, it allows you to skip a word which you can’t find. Above the button in the lower left corner there is a board with the number of skips left for you. So make sure that you don’t go spending the skips impulsively.

Scramble

This option jumbles up the board, allowing you to make sense of the board a new. It’s an unlimited help, so use it all you want, but make sure to keep an eye out on the timer. It runs out pretty fast. Scrambling the board will help you find the intended words and score.

Bottom Line

These two modes are more than enough to keep you occupied for a very long time, making it the best word game on Android, to date. Some other great features of the game include:

  • Google Play Leader boards, allowing you to compete against people from over the world.
  • Ability to share the game with friends through all the apps on your phone.

The release has seen people using this app a lot during the day. It’s just so addictive. With the difficulty level raised by a lot, you are pushed to your boundaries. I for one really enjoy the challenge. So what are you waiting for? Download Wordage today and find yourself challenged and I mean it when I say challenged, a lot. I don’t think that the price is too much, considering the countless hours of fun it provides. So spend a little and get a great game to play while stuck in traffic or on your way back home.

Considering the effort, the team put into Wordage, I’d give it a solid 9 out of 10.

The only point deducted is because I want multiplayer for it. Just imagine the possibilities and the countless hours of fun you could have with this game when competing against your friends. Other than that it is a great game. It is a masterpiece as it is, only if they bring multiplayer to it. The game will become an all-time favorite just like that.
